47mm Byzantine Crucifix in Two-Tone Gold

This stunning, Byzantine-style 47mm (approximate 1-7/8" length) crucifix features a cross of yellow gold, fashioned with trefoil, or three-petal, crucifix tips that are embellished with a beautiful, Byzantine-style scrolled design. The trefoil tips represent the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. In the very center of this crucifix rests a small cross, over which is suspended a 14K white gold corpus. The inscription "INRI", ("Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum"), the Latin abbreviation for the title Pontius Pilate wrote and put on the cross: "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews" (John 19: 19-22), is in white gold at the top of the crucifix.
