The "Chi-Rho" symbol of Christianity, the first two letters of "Christ" in Greek, was popularized by Constantine the Great, who ended the persecution of Christians, making Christianity the religion of the Roman Empire in the 4th century. Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. This unique sterling silver pendant features a matte-finished silver design adorned with a high-polished Chi Rho cross, which is flanked on each side by the Alpha Omega symbol. This design is a proclamation of faith, stating that Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega, "the Beginning and the End, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty" (Rev. 1:8).
The back of this cross, which is satin-finished, features a dove, signifying the the Holy Spirit, third person of the Trinity. Included is a 24" silver chain; the set is packaged in a blue velvet gift box. A longer chain may be ordered for an additional cost. This design is also available in yellow gold: see 14K Yellow Gold Alpha Omega, Chi Rho Cross #5279. Click the photo for a magnified view.
